My Astrology Practice

I use a combination of traditional and modern astrological techniques. My approach is influenced by the traditions and teachings of ancient astrology, tailored to the realities of the contemporary era. This means:

  • I use whole sign houses. The Whole Sign system places the sign of the ascendant on the cusp of the first house, with each subsequent sign on the cusp of each house.

  • I use traditional rulerships of signs. If a traditional planet is closely configured to an outer planet (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) or one of those planets is on an angle, that planet may play a more prominent role

  • My astrology is queer and trauma-informed. I do not use traditional gender stereotypes of signs or planets in my astrology. The gender binary is an outdated concept that does not have a home in my astrological practice. I also do not believe that astrology justifies negative circumstances in life. Astrology is a lens through which we can look at traumatic or “negative” events to find a sense of clarity on situations over which we have no control. Astrology cannot excuse nor undo any injustice. However, by understanding what was going on in the cosmos at the time of our darkest moments, there is potential for new sources of light. Please let me know if there are any subjects you would specifically like to (or not to) address during our time together.

  • I utilize Solar Revolutions, transits, annual profections, and firdaria as my primary predictive astrology techniques. I am familiar with, but do not regularly use, Zodiacal Releasing. If you would like to look into a particular technique, please indicate your interest in your intake form.

Astrology is a tool for self-discovery and self-acceptance. But more than anything, it is a language.

In an astrological consultation, we will work through dialogue to help you understand more about your experience in this life, and the ways you can constructively utilize your natal gifts to fulfill your desires, dreams, and purpose. By working with the gifts (and challenges!) presented to you in your natal chart, you can go deeper into the why, when, and how of your life.

Traditional Astrologer | They/Them

I am a queer traditional astrologer based just outside of Seattle, Washington. My astrology practice is rooted in the techniques of Hellenistic astrology with an emphasis on conscious observation, empowerment, and self-awareness.

As a queer and trans astrologer, I center the lived experiences of queer and otherwise marginalized people in my astrological practice. I believe that astrology reflects culture, and the books and resources written often reflect the cis-heteronormative society under which they were written. It is up to the practitioner to queer this astrology to work outside of the binary and hegemonic patriarchal culture.

By queering astrology to include people of all genders and sexualities, I open the astrological gates to include everyone, with an emphasis on lifting up those with marginalized identities into a place of true self-assertion and power. Even if you don’t identify as queer, my astrological framework will transform your understanding of yourself and your experience in this world.

I am a space-holder, a facilitator of growth, and an agent of change. Work with me to discover your celestial blueprint - where you come from, where you are, and where you’re headed.
